버즈런은 한국을 대표하는 스노보드 브랜드이다.
이 프로젝트(Augmented Painting 001)는 버즈런 파이튼 바인딩의 세번째 모델출시를 기념하여 버즈런의 디자이너 Phenomenon과 함께한 Augmented Painting 프로젝트의 첫번째 결과물이다.
이 작업은 독일과 중국에서 있는 국제 스노보드 쇼에 설치된다.

Augmented Painting 프로젝트는 2010년 KT&G 에서 진행한 Art Collaboration의 발전된 형태로서, 기본 취지인 여러 그래픽 아티스트와의 콜라보레이션을 바탕으로 모듈화를 통해 운반 및 설치가 자유로워지고 기존의 프로젝션 맵핑의 한계인 공간에 따른 프로젝터 설치문제 및 피사체와의 싱크문제를 극복했다.
2D 의 캔버스를 프로젝션맵핑을 통해 3D의 공간으로 확장하고 정지되어 있는 이미지에 움직임을 불어넣으므로 기존의 정지된 이미지에 증강된 이미지가 더해져 새로운 이야기를 전달하는것을 목표로 Augmented Painting 이라고 이름을 붙였다.

We named it ‘Augmented Paining”, because Projection mapping makes new images from fixed thing, like making 2D canvas to 3D space or animate fixed image.)

기존 바인딩과 DNA를 달리하는 파이튼 바인딩. 마치 외계에서 온 문명을 표현하는듯한 컨셉으로 각 파츠의 특징을 강조하는 캐릭터들이 모여 하나의 파이튼 바인딩이 만들어지고 그것이 기존의 바인딩 문명을 잠식하여 지배하게 된다는 스토리를 담았다.
